original lens-based digital art for corporate and domestic interiors and exteriors by Ali White

'painting by other means' ... using fragments of photographic images

All our images are based on the digital transformation of original photographs. Some are single photographs, rigorously worked on to achieve a particular result. Most, however, incorporate literally hundreds of photographic fragments seamlessly merged into a single, very high resolution image which can be printed to virtually any size on almost any material to your own precise specifications.

We work to commission, creating artworks for specific locations or other applications. But we also have an extensive collection of artworks available to order, and you will find a sample of around 70 of these in the gallery on this website.

You can, if you wish, treat the gallery like a catalogue to order from directly. But our aim is to be as flexible as possible :

  • There is no ‘right’ size for any of the images. This depends on personal preference and the space or function for which they are intended. We will supply artwork to whatever size you require (though there are limits to the size that some mages will go without loss of quality).
  • All the images come as standard on premium quality artist canvas, or on a range of fine art or photo papers. But they can also be printed on a wide range of other materials, including ones for external installation.
  • Some can also be reworked to alter the shape as well as the dimensions of the image – from portrait to landscape, square to portrait etc. It is also possible to take different crops of the larger images, to create a triptych for example.
  • We will create bespoke variations of any of the images for little extra cost – see the ‘Madrid Wall Collection’ or ‘Adventures in the Geometry of Fruit & Vegetables’ for examples.
  • Some images can become designs rather than artworks. The Bamboo Rings piece, for example, was reworked as a wallpaper repeat for Bar Azure in Liverpool (featured in Theme magazine). Others have become blinds or even a tablecloth.
